Kakira Sugar Ltd, Uganda
Uttam proudly announces the successful execution of a significant project for Kakira Sugar Ltd. in Uganda, involving the expansion and modification of their Milling Plant to achieve a capacity of 8500 TCD.
Undertaking the entire process from design and engineering to supply, erection, and commissioning, Uttam has demonstrated its expertise by delivering a 5 Mill Tandem, featuring one of the largest Mills, measuring 50” x 100”, in the entire African continent.
Remarkably, the plant is already operating at its maximum capacity, a consistent characteristic of Uttam’s projects, highlighting the immediate efficiency achieved right from the start. This accomplishment accentuates the reliability and high quality of equipment produced by Uttam’s state-of-the-art workshops.
Somidaa Group, France
Uttam recently completed a notable order for a 42x84 Mill from Somdiaa Group in France, recognized as the largest Sugar Company in West Africa.

White Nile Sugar Company, Sudan
Uttam Sucrotech International recently achieved a significant milestone by successfully completing the execution of Africa's largest Greenfield Sugar project for White Nile Sugar Company in Sudan.
This expansive project involves a 25,000 TCD (Tonnes Crushed per Day) Sugar Plant, featuring an impressive setup of 2 x 21 MW and 2 x 31 MW Turbines, amounting to a total co-generation capacity of 104 MW. Juice extraction is efficiently managed through the incorporation of 12 mills, each measuring 45” x 90”, organized in two tandems.
Wonji/ Shoa Sugar Factory, Ethiopia
Uttam Sucrotech International secured an EPC Turnkey contract for the establishment of a Greenfield 6,250 TCD plant with power co-generation at Wonji/Shoa Sugar Factory in Ethiopia.
The comprehensive project includes the installation of 2 boilers, each with a capacity of 135 TPH, operating at 67 ata and 515oC. Power generation is facilitated through a 32 MW Double Condensing Turbine along with the construction of a complete Process House
Riopaila Castilla, S.a., Colombia
Uttam Sucrotech International has helped RioPaila Castilla, S.A. in Colombia to implement a new Multi-fuel Boiler with impressive specifications. Boasting a substantial capacity of 150 t/h, the boiler operates at a pressure of 65.7 kg/cm² (absolute) and a temperature of 490⁰C. The boiler type employed is the efficient Travelling Grate, designed to accommodate a variety of fuels, including Bagasse, Coal, and Oil.
